Rocky Point Animal Hospital

We made an appointment with Dr. Caputo for Feb.14, 2024, we were told to be there at 12:10 exactly and a $50.00 deposit was required which would be forfeited if we did not make the appointment. At 12:05 we were there for the appointment and were told that they had no record of an appointment at 12:10 for us. The receptionist said she would speak to the Doctor to see if he could see us. We then asked how she could have charged our credit card and then had not made an appointment. there was no reply other than "I don't like the tone of your voice'" We then saw Dr. Caputo exit an exam room which was on the opposite side of the office from where the receptionist had went and allegedly spoke to Dr. Caputo, this conversation concerning our appointment would have been impossible unless they spoke on the phone. We then insisted for a receipt for the return of our $50.00 deposit. How can this office demand a fee of $50.00 if we don't show up for an appointment but there is nothing but "I am so sorry" when they are at fault? When Dr. Caputo came out of the exam room and stood on the opposite side of the reception desk from us and he had nothing whatsoever to say regarding this situation. We didn't know if he was oblivious to the conduct of his incompetent and rude receptionist or he just didn't care about any inconveniences to anyone. On a side note, there was one other person in the waiting room who said that the same thing happened to her with her appointment today. We made a big mistake in not checking reviews online before even calling for an appointment at the Rocky Point Animal Hospital.

I had been calling around to get ready for a trip to Puerto Rico for my 2 year old poodle gizmo. I was turned away by many vets that it couldn’t be done in time maybe more fault to the people behind the front desk. They didn’t take the time to really research and understand what I needed. Monday I called gave me an appointment the same week and Wednesday morning I had everything I needed to travel. Rocky point animal really accommodated my needs understood and took the time to research and be accurate on what I needed. It was something so simple that others made me feel impossible to get in the amount of time I had before my trip. I definitely found a new vet. They were extremely pleasant from start to finish.

Convenient and helpful. I do have my dog on medication that I easily pick up there. I find the phone conversations are according to who answers. Wish each person was on the same page. Some feel it’s important to look at my dogs history to make sure she doesn’t need a visit for this medication and others say sure come by on a particular day when they receive it in. Why can’t they all be like that latter?
